The «Ivan Goran Kovačić» Men's Vocal Ensemble was founded in 1956 as a branch of the «Ivan Goran Kovačić» Collegiate Choir. At that time it acted as octet, while later as vocally-instrumental ensemble. In 1964 it became an independent cultural club.
The octet was founded and directed by Duško Prašelj, later by Adalbert Marković, Vinko Glasnović, Zdravko Vitković, Ivo Androja, Dinko Fio, Vladimir Babuš, Marijan Krajna, Božidar Galli and Josip Nalis. Today, the Ensemble is directed by Ozren Bogdanović.
