Luka Vuk?i? is a young conductor born in Zagreb in 1976. He graduated from the ''Josip Hatze'' Music School in Split in 1994 and received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Zagreb Academy of Music in the class of maestro Igor Gjadrov.
In April 1999 he received the Vice-chancellor Award for the best student work for his degree finals with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
During the same year he became a scholarship student of the ''Lovro and Lilly Mata?i?'' fund. In the year that followed he finished postgraduate study on Orchestra Conducting Program of the Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest in the class of maestro Ervin Lukacs and Tamas Gal. He also attended seminars of respectable masters such as Ronald Zollman and Juri Simonov, who gave him best references.
By the end of the same academic year he returned to Zagreb and started to work as a permanent conductor of the ''Ivan Goran Kova?i?'' Collegiate Choir.

Vuk?i? has performed with many renowed ensembles, such as the Zagreb Philiharmonic Orchestra, Croatian National Television Orchestra and Choir, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the Pe?uh Symphony Orchestra, the Croatian Baroque Ensemble, the Rijeka Philharmonic Orchestra, the Croatian Army Symphony Wind Orchestra, Croatian Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, et cetera.

He is also the winner of Croatian Music Youth Award ''Ivo Vuljevi?'' for the most successful young musician of 2000.
For the Collegiate Choir ''Ivan Goran Kova?i?'' he prepared a great number of major vocally- instrumental works, including the Verdi Requiem, the Mahler Second, Third and Eighth Symphony, the Brahms 'Ein Deutsches Requiem'', Bruckner's Te Deum, the Mozart Requiem, the Berlioz Requiem, the Orff ''Carmina Burana'' and 'Catuli Carmina', Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Weber's Freischutz, the V. Lisinski opera 'Porin', and others.
